BARCLAYS OLDBURY 1968

Oldbury town has a proud heritage and is at the heart of the industrial revolution. With the decline of the canals in the second half of the twentieth century many of the towns heavy industries were lost and the town centre went into decline. This project has at its core the restoration of this Grade II listed building which has been home to Barclays Bank at the commercial centre of the town for most of the last century.

RESTORATION OF THIS PROUD BUILDING

Using modern chemical cleaning techniques, stone masons and local craftsmen Baron Famain will restore this proud Grade II listed building to its original condition. Working with the towns's conservation officer the renovated building will retain its original masonry features and windows. The conversion project will create four individually designed two bed apartments with the penthouse enjoying a unique roof garden overlooking the town's conservation area of Church Square.
